Cheber kol, the producer of the felt rugs is a workshop of the Jailoo Tourism Community. More than 50 women are the member of this workshop, who live in Kochkor region of Kyrgyzstan. Skilled craftswomen of the Cheber Kol develope unique artist products, the shyrdak and the Ala-Kiyis. Felt plays an important role in the culture of nomadic ethnick groups in Central Asia. For centures, they lived in yurts, mobile houses, made out of felt. Handicrafts, to these days play a big role in social life and are the treasure of each woman, which she received as dowry from the mother.
